Save-A-Bull Rescue will consider adoptive families in the Minneapolis and surrounding areas only. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the dog's background and your family's needs. Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a dog into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application. On the application, you will be able to select a dog you are interested in. If the dog you are interested in gets adopted while your application is being processed, our adoption coordinators will contact you and may recommend another dog in our rescue.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity. Please responds as soon as possible to keep your application moving forward.
Once your application review is complete, a Save-A-Bull Rescue volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit to meet in person and discuss all-things pet. During the home visit, we look for potential hazards for the dog that the adopter may not have considered. All household members must be present during the home visit. This includes all pets.
Once approved to adopt, the Save-A-Bull team will organize a time for you to pick up your newest family member. You will have access to vaccine records and will be educated on our training reimbursement program. Welcome home!
