Male - 3 months old
Hello! My name is Bubble Gum, but my foster mom just calls me Bubba. I am the most handsome boy with big floppy ears and a heart at the end of my nose. I was found abandoned in a parking lot with my two other siblings when I was just a baby. Despite that, I have such a fun and spunky personality that I can’t wait to share with my new forever family!
I currently live with two adult dogs, one male and one female! I haven’t met kids or cats yet, so I am not sure about that…but I’m a puppy! I just would need some guidance!
I am potty trained and I think my foster mom is super proud about that. Although I did go on my potty pad when it was super cold and my feet couldn’t take me outside. I hang out in my kennel a lot, and my older “brother’s” and “sister’s” kennels…I like to try them all out. I will go in with the word “kennel” or a quick point at the door. Mommy says that makes me a very good boy! I sleep in my kennel at night, and always give a little whine when I need to be let out to go potty. So proud that I have never made a mess in my sleeping space.
We do a lot of training in this house, probably because my foster mom is a dog trainer! I am doing really well at “sit” and “down”, and working on “stay” and “leave-it”. My recall is also pretty good, but maybe that’s because it’s so cold outside! I am also learning some tricks – like jumping over my foster mom’s leg and dancing (spin and turn). She says I’m really smart and will always work for treats, and I follow a lure really well. We also work on what she calls puppy zen activities, so I can learn some patience. I am getting better at looking at her when I need help, and waiting in a “sit” for treats and meals.
My favorite hobby is playing with toys and destroying them, so I get a lot of empty water bottles to chomp on. I play a lot with the other dogs in the house. The older dogs have been playing tug with me, and showing me the ropes on how to play properly. I am pretty attached to one of my older doggie siblings, and would love to be in a home with an older dog who can mentor me. My foster mom says I would be great with other dogs because I really like to play. My favorite toys are rope toys and shoes, so we are working on leaving those alone (shoes). My rope toys are super fun to shred though, so I don’t miss the shoes much. 🙂
Although I was a little slow to warm up, now that we’ve built a happy foster home, I love to cuddle with my foster mom – she gives such good pets and always tells me how soft I am. Do you think you’re the right family for me? If so, I can’t wait to meet you!
