Female - 7 months old
Hi! I'm Bridget! I am a petite, sweet, happy-go-lucky pittie mix lady looking for a forever family! I was found running around the streets in Texas shortly after some really, really cold weather displaced some people and pets from their homes. I spent a month in the shelter, where the staff said I was the sweetest girl they'd ever met, before making my way to Minnesota to improve my chances of finding a loving forever home.
When I got here, I was already completely kennel trained (my kennel is my safe place) and mostly potty trained. I showed off my happy, playful, wiggle-butt energy as soon as I arrived. I am content and quiet sleeping alone in my kennel for naps and night time, but I thrive when I get to be with my foster people and foster siblings (three other pitbulls). I LOVE snuggles on the couch, and will nestle my head into your neck to get some love. My foster pack has already been helping me build a foundation of more confidence, some basic obedience, and how to get along with a bunch of new people and dogs with different personalities.
I am a super active, social, and friendly girl that would love to live with other dogs or have lots of human and canine playmates to keep me busy. I enjoy chasing a ball around for a game of fetch. I am a rockstar in the car, so I think I would love to go on adventures with you and spread my happiness all over. I especially love playing with my 1-year-old pittie foster sister who keeps up with my playful, young spirit. My foster mom says there is something super special about me, because my foster brother, a sore, older bully that usually needs really slow integration with new dogs, wanted to be my best friend right away. He's teaching me how to sniff around the yard and contain my crazy adolescent energy and play more gently, and I love following him and my older foster sister around to learn all the fun things to do around here when we aren't playing and wrestling.
Overall, I am a solid young lady, though I am still working on skills many adolescent dogs have to work on, such as keeping four feet on the floor and not using my mouth so much to play with my foster siblings. I am also working on not barking whenever there is a sound outside or the neighbor dog is on the other side of the fence. I would love someone to bring me to obedience classes and help me build confidence and teach me all of the life skills I need to be the most successful me and advocate for my breed.
I met a cat once, and gave it a few barks, strong sniffs, and some intense stares. I feel bad for being so rude, but can't guarantee I wouldn't always be that rude to kitties if I lived with one. They're just too interesting!
If you like cute, cuddly, playful little ladies like me, I would love to be your new best friend! Are you my forever person?
