No Cats

Hello, I’m Ayla! I’m a beautiful steel gray color. I roll and flop like a fish, and I know how to smile! I came up from New Mexico with 19 puppies, and four of them mine were mine. Even though I had a rough start in life at the hands of a human, humans are my favorite!

I am potty and crate trained, and I sleep in my crate at night. I am very good at sitting and waiting for my food. I am working on jumping on people… I LOVE people so much I get really excited when I see them! I love treats and will do almost anything for a good treat. I love squeaky toys – I like to squeak them and then take the stuffing out.  I also love to chew on bones.

I live with two teenagers, ages 14 and 16. I like to “hang out” with them. I would do best in a home that doesn't have cats, birds or small pets – they're just not for me. I live with Save-a-Bull alumni, Willow and Thielen. I like to play with my foster brother, Thielen – my favorite activity with him is jaw jousting. I need a very long and slow intro when I meet other dogs. I think in time my confidence will grow and I won’t need a long/slow intro, but for now I bark and act dominant, because I’m scared.

I lay on the bed in my foster dad’s office and I snooze while he works.  He says I snore like a ‘chainsaw.’  I don’t know what that means but he says it’s really cute. I also love peanut butter, squeeze cheese and leafy greens! Can’t wait to meet you!

*** Ayla has some allergies that her adopter should be prepared to help her manage. They are well controlled with regular medication and she is currently receiving Cytopoint injections. Depending on the season and how her allergies are acting up, these will be needed every 6-8 weeks and are estimated to cost around $120 per injection. ***
