Male - 6 years old
Hi, I'm Charlie! I am currently accepting new best friend applications. Do you think you'd be a good forever friend for me?
At six years old, I have all the benefits of being a laid-back, potty and obedience trained, snuggly gentleman without the high-energy needs a younger lad might have. I have been through a lot in my years at the hand of humans, but I am still a super cool, people-loving guy. I love just hanging out with people, and will come up to my foster parents to ask for snuggles any time of the day or night. Even if I've just met you, I will calmly come give you a lick or set my head on your chest or lap for snuggles. I am especially good at reading the vibes around me, and can be a great comforting friend if you are having a bad day.
I love other dogs and people of all ages. Qualified candidates for my new best friend role could be an individual, a couple looking to adopt, or a family with kids. I currently live in my foster home with three pit bull siblings (6, 4, and 1 year old) and am just an easy-going guy and love hanging out with the whole pack for snuggles and play time. I am really great with other dogs until a high value resource is involved, so though I love visiting with dogs, I would be best not living with another one full time. I don't even react when other dogs bark at me! Kitties give me crazy energy that is outside of my chill character, so I would prefer a new best friend that isn't sharing their heart and home with a cat.
I've had my obedience training down for years now; I might charm you with a few tricks if you ask nicely (bonus if you have a treat to pay me for my labor)! I am practiced and polite on leash and like the occasional walk. I am still working on loving my kennel. I have a lot of anxiety when the door closes, because a previous owner used a kennel as a punishment, but I am okay going in my personal den to just have some space, hang out, and lick a Kong for an hour. I am fine being left out on my own, and so far I have shown that I won't potty in the house or destroy your things just because I'm not in a kennel.
Do you love snuggling, napping, and just hanging around, too? Apply today for my open "forever best friend" position!
