Female - 1 years old
Hello, I’m Peyton. I am a petite pittie weighing in at only 40 pounds, but don’t let my weight fool you, I am very strong. My foster parents say that I look like I am related to Scooby Doo with my perky ears and tan coloring!
I am so strong that I can almost walk on my back two legs! Sometimes I stand up to try and get a better look at everything going on. I can also jump really high! I am working on my potty training – I can hold it when I am in my kennel, but I have had a few accidents in the house. I am quickly learning to go outside, I just need a little help learning how to let my people know that I have to go. I go into my kennel when told and will whine a little bit, but then will relax and take a nap. I love having a frozen Kong filled with peanut butter to keep me occupied. At night I sleep comfortably in my kennel.
The current trick I am learning is “Down.” This helps me when I’m not supposed to jump up. I have mastered sit, and am excited to learn new tricks for treats, as treats are the best way for me to learn. I love playing tug-of-war and always want the end that you have. Once we are done playing tug-of-war, I would love to cuddle up next to you. I like to follow my people around to make sure I know everything that is going on. I like all kinds of toys: bones, squeaky toys, rope toys, and Kongs – the more variety the better. I especially like toys that have treats in them, as I like to eat almost everything!
I haven’t met any small children – I like to play and jump around a lot, and may knock the little ones over. It takes me a while to get used to other dogs, as I get a pretty excited around them. Slow introductions would be the way to go with me.
My perfect day is made up of lots of playing, walks, and cuddles! I am a love bug, but also love to get the zoomies out. I am really enjoying the fall weather, as I love to play and roll around in the leaves. Can’t wait to meet you!
