I’m not sure I need to point this out, as you have probably already seen my pictures….but I use my eyes to get what I want (and tug on heart strings, of course). I am beyond curious and love to explore, but I have learned my name quickly and listen really well to commands like “come,” and “no.”
I’m pretty clumsy! Sometimes I run into stuff or trip over my own paws as I run to play with my foster sister. Oh, and if there’s food within sniffing range, you better believe I’m coming for it! I’ll go over, under or through, whatever is necessary to get there as quickly as I can!
My potty skills weren’t perfect at the beginning, but now I’ve got the hang of it as long as I get frequent potty breaks. I can’t get enough of playing with my foster sister, and I can hold my own even though she’s way bigger than me (a 60 lb. boxer mix). My favorite things are playing tug-o-war and stealing her bones, or whatever toy she’s playing with at the time! I play like I’m big and strong, but don’t have any issues rolling over and waving the white flag either. I like to snuggle in and snore away the evenings on the couch, but at night I sleep in my crate like a big girl! All I need is a blanket and a little background noise and I am zonked. Car rides put me to sleep too, so maybe I’d be a good travel companion?
My foster mom tells me all the time how smart I am! I learned “sit” in one day, and am currently working on “stay” and most recently “shake.” I’m not so sure about this one, but they grab my paws and give me treats so…. I’m all about it. I’ll do anything for treats!
I would love a family with another dog to play with, and a yard for exploring. I haven’t met any cats, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them. I’m excited for my forever family to teach me lots of stuff, because in case you didn’t know, it’s when you learn stuff that you get treats and belly rubs; two of my most favorite things.
I just can’t wait to find my forever home!
