Female - 2 years old
Hi, my name is Bailey! I have adorable brown eyes and patches of brindle on my gorgeous white fur. I’m muscular and agile and can jump really high. I don’t have an ounce of fat on my toned physique despite my foster family feeding me lots of treats!
I am a 50 lb. lap dog and when I’m not snuggling with you on the couch, my favorite game is fetch. I could probably play fetch with just about anything (e.g., frisbee, ball, rope toy, nyla bone). When I first moved in with my foster family, I would bark at them to get their attention. Foster parents taught me to sit patiently instead of barking, so I would really like to find a family who will continue this training. Foster mom says I am extremely smart and eager to please so I typically pick up on training fairly quickly.
Some of the best things about me are I am completely potty and kennel trained. Before my foster parents leave the house, they tell me to go to my kennel and I happily walk into it. Foster dad says I am a dream to walk on a leash. I do not pull whatsoever, and I am very good at “checking-in” with them meaning every few minutes I look back to make sure they are still holding onto the leash. I am a very loyal dog and do not want my foster parents getting lost 😉
I currently live with two five-year-old dogs, a 5-month-old puppy, and an old lady kitty. My foster brother and I play fetch together. Daddy makes sure to have two toys so we each have our own to retrieve. I do well with my kitty sister because I just ignore her and that’s what she prefers. I do not live with children, but I have met my neighbor’s kids while on a walk and I was very excited to greet them. They gave me treats and I took it very politely from their hands. Sometimes when I get too excited, I bark at my foster parents for attention and while I am greatly improving and hardly bark anymore, this could scare a little kid so for now, it’s probably best that I’m in a home without kids or with older children.
My ideal home would be an active home since I love going on walks and playing fetch in the backyard. Additionally, I am looking for patient forever parents who will continue to help me grow my confidence since I have the sweetest demeanor (according to foster mama).
