Introducing Rescued, a photography exploration of dogs traveling from abused, neglected, and lost, to healthy, safe and rescued by their forever homes. Follow the portrait stories through before and after images of dogs as they’ve come into Save-a-Bull Rescue. Each dog included in this project had its own difficult journey after injury or neglect. Grab a tissue and see how each recovered and went on to be adoptable, special animals for the families calling them their own.
Though many of the “before” photos are difficult to view and will likely leave you feeling uncomfortable, the “after” images really show the resilience of these animals and the power a rescue can have to make a difference in changing a dog’s life, and that of the family who goes on to call the dog their own. Each dog included has found its happy ending through the care of volunteers and fosters.
This portrait study was the subject of a photography competition album for professional photographer Lisa Asp of Tangerine House of Design in Edina, MN. She won numerous awards for this work and hopes the album will go on to inspire change in the treatment of animals. 100% of the proceeds from this book will help raise money for Save-a-Bull Rescue’s Heal-a-Bull program.
