Hello! I’m Harley, an adorable Boston terrier mix. My foster mom says I’m a Boston in the front and a party in the back. Why do you ask? Well for starters, I have a tail. Typically, Boston’s dogs don’t have a tail. I also have a beautiful brindle coat and cute little sway that happens when I walk.
I am a special little guy with a condition called Ataxia. Typically, Ataxia is caused by trauma, but the veterinarians and specialist haven’t found any signs of trauma, so my condition is likely genetic. I haven’t let Ataxia stop me from living a normal life – I jump like a bunny in the backyard, run up and down stairs, and hop on the couch to be close to my humans. I don’t need any medications and I’ve learned to self-regulate myself, so this condition ain’t no big deal to me!
So, what else about me… I love to snuggle, like really love to snuggle. I snore, sometimes while I’m awake, but it’s a really cute snore, I promise. I have a few toys that I like to play with, but mostly I just spend a lot of time cuddling and sleeping. I currently live with two big dogs and we all get along fine, but I like slow intros with new dogs as I have a bit of a Napoleon complex. I also show some food aggression around dogs that are smaller than I am, so I really just prefer bigger dogs that are chill like I am.
I’m good around kids. I had a one year old smooshing my face around and I really kind of liked it. I haven’t been around cats, but foster mom thinks I’d probably be okay with them. I am crate trained, but since I’m older, I don’t really need to be in the kennel. I don’t chew on anything, but toys and I don’t even do that very often. I’m potty trained, but sometimes I just prefer to poop in the house rather than letting my humans know it’s time to go out, but since I’m little, it’s not much to clean up. And I’m cute. Did I mention that?
If you are looking for a special little guy that will keep you warm as these fall months come in, I’m your guy. If you want someone who brings a smile to your face every day, I’m your guy. If you like little dogs that snort and grunt, I’m your guy! Are you my forever home?
