Update on Mildred

Update on Mildred

Adopted June 2016

Dog’s former name Hennipen

What are the best things about your dog?
Millie is filled with love and is such a sweetheart. She is active, smart and such a loving little girl. We love including our dog in all aspects of our life, and Millie never ceases to amaze us with how smart she is and how easily she adapts to all of her surroundings.

Tell us about your dog’s favorite activities, sports or training:
Millie loves going hiking and on long walks around the lakes. She absolutely adores going over to her grandparents house to hang out with her Doberman friends. Laying in the backyard on a nice day or lounging in her pool are also some of her favorite things. She loves car rides and any adventure in general. One of her new favorite things is accompanying me to the golf course where she loves to run/ride in the cart and has become a huge fan amongst the patrons and employees both. As a puppy she made great strides and grew immensely throughout her training at the K-9 Coach, we’re now extremely confident about Millie’s ability to handle and succeed in any situation.

Give us some examples of how your dog likes to spend his/her time:
Millie loves sleeping on her huge beds at the bottom of our couch. When she is not sleeping, you can usually find her in the backyard laying in the grass or roaming around watching the squirrels and birds. She is a very active dog who is full of energy, and definitely keeps us moving and physically active.

Do you have any extraordinary adventures or accomplishments to tell us about?
Millie completed her training and obedience courses at K-9 Coach and showed incredible growth and progression throughout the classes, we were very proud of that. She now is able to be off leash in the park when we play fetch or go on hikes, and stays by our side at all times. She is definitely one smart cookie!

How do people react to your “pit bull?”
We have not had one single bad reaction to our pit bull. She has been an absolute angel and couldn’t be sweeter when meeting new people. In typical Pit bull fashion, her tail goes 100mph and she loves showering people with kisses. When we set out to adopt through Save-a-Bull, we wanted to make sure that we did everything we can to be great ambassadors for the breed, and Millie has made that beyond easy with her sweet demeanor and her ability to follow commands. We love her so much and couldn’t ask for a better companion.

Does your dog have any nicknames?
Millie

FAST FIVE with Mildred

2. Dog beds: Sleep on or unstuff? Sleep

3. Travel: Car rides or car sick? Car rides

4. Water: No way or splash all day? Splash all day

5. Seasons: A day in the sun or a day in the snow? Sun
